Wishing you and your family a safe and happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Statewide Insurance in Dade City, Florida. Our office will be closing at 2:00 pm on Wednesday November 27th and we will open on Monday December 2nd at 9:00 am.
Statewide Insurance Veteran CoinI received this coin in the mail from Google. The card, that came with it, challenges you to recognize a veteran that has helped you grow. There are 2 veterans that I would like to thank. First, my amazing wife Madonna Capes, who I also met in the Navy. You have always been my inspiration and my biggest supporter. Second, Kevin Fecteau, my business partner and brother in law, who believed in us enough to start Statewide Insurance in the first place. Thank you both for your impact in my life and for your service to our country. #GrowWithGoogle #ChallengeCoin
Be sure to visit the Pioneer Florida Museum and Village, in Dade City, for their annual Scarecrow Festival. It's always a great time for kids and families, with activities and entertainment for everyone. The event has been hosted in Dade City for many years now and is always a fun event to attend. It starts at 9:00 am and usually runs until 5:00 pm. You can visit the museum's website or Dade City Chamber's website for more details on the event.
Here's a good reason to purchase flood insurance. All areas of Florida are in a flood zone. There are higher risk flood zones called standard flood zones and lower risk flood zones called preferred, but if you live in Florida you are in a flood zone. I would presume the photo above was taken in a higher risk standard zone, but did you know that 30% of all flood claims come from the lower risk preferred zones? Something to be aware of when discussing your home insurance with your agent. Most homeowners insurance policies do not cover flood claims. Some carriers are "offering" flood insurance with their homeowners insurance policy, but you have to request that it be "added" to the policy.
Be sure to visit the Dade City Heritage Museum. Joy Lynn is doing a great job over there. Even though I was born and raised in Dade City, she really surprised me with a few things I didn't know about. Thanks for the tour Joy. Click on the photos above to visit her site.
